Jessie Woo, host and TV personality, shares her experience of being in Miami during a time when being Haitian was bad and attracted a lot of bullies. She couldn’t understand the obsession: many of the Americans who talked negatively about Haitians lived in government assisted housing while she returned to a 6-bedroom home in Aventura and was the daughter to a mother who worked hard in the medical field.
