Wanda Tima on being surprised when Haitians in college accepted her (Part 4)

When Wanda Tima, media maven and founder of L’Union Suite, arrived on her college campus she finally found a tribe that would accept her for her. She attended an event hosted by the Caribbean Cultural Club and saw a group of her peers waving the Haitian flag. After hesitating, she joined the fun. To her surprise, they didn’t push her away like they did in high school. From that moment, she decided that she’d learn everything she needed to know about Haiti, Creole and the Haitian people.
