In an effort to give back and bring the Haitian community together, on Saturday, July 16th me and my friend Junior Filsaime hosted our edition of #HashtagLunchbag #WestPalmBeach
From 11am to 3pm, the group of over 30 people got together and packed lunches for the homeless and the children and families of The Lords Place Homeless Shelter at John I Leonard High School.
In attendance was Haitian-American media maven Karen Civil, Washington Redskins Pierre Garcon, rapper Ace Hood, rapper Lajan Slim, NFL players Kenrtick Ellis, Sammuel and Emmanuel Lamur.
This was definitely a successful event and a great way to contribute our time to something fun & meaningful while connecting with friends, and other Haitian-Americans in our community.
Hashtag Lunchbag is an event that started in L.A. in 2012 by a small group of friends. It has since spread into a nationwide project, and anyone can bring the event to his or her own city.
Thank you so very much to all the supporters and friends who drove and flew in to support the cause. We couldn't have done it without you.
See you next month!!!!
