Founded in 2006, Connecticut Haitian Voice is a free monthly newspaper written in English, Haitian Creole and French. The Connecticut Haitian Voice prioritizes information that serves the Haitian-American population as well as conveys a message of pride, unity, tolerance, resilience and responsible leadership. Our influence has been largely documented by national and local news organizations such as The Associated Press, Connecticut Post, The Stamford Advocate and The Norwich Bulletin. The Connecticut Haitian Voice made history in December 2010 by becoming the first newspaper that is distributed free of charge in Haiti, where a subscription to a print publication is considered a luxury. Connecticut Haitian Voice is our personal commitment to accompany our fellow Haitian sisters and brothers in the struggle to rebuild our destroyed beloved country. Genuine dedication, sacrifices and active participation are necessary in order for Haiti to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We believe that reliable and constructive information is a critical component in any apparatus intended to put the country on the right track. The small group of communication outlets functioning in Haiti cannot do it alone. It is an imperative that we all share the burden with them. We are inviting you to join us in this worthwhile endeavor. We need your help. My Philosophy MMC provides a small, secure environment for children during the most crucial time of their development, as they navigate major milestones in early education and make memories through creative play. My Goal When providing quality child care for your child is to create an established, educational environment that incorporates the knowledge of values such as honesty, good manners, respect, potential, self-reliance, self-discipline, and moderation. They will be well-versed in dependability, sensitivity to others, love, kindness, friendliness and fairness, the values of giving. Our Staff The staff at Ma Maison Childcare have been carefully selected. They are understanding, loving, nurturing, and responsive to our children. They have also been trained in Early Childhood Education and are required to earn continuing education credit hours annually.  All our staff and volunteers are fingerprinted and background screened by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. Additionally, all administration and at least one staff member per classroom is CPR and First Aid Certified.  Our Director holds a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) as well as a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Resources Development.
