Growing up in Haiti, I was always in the ambiance of cooking, because my mother was the chef of the house and as the oldest girl, I was called all the time to come watch how to prepare food so that I could take care of the little ones when my mother was absent. This is just to say that cuisine was part of my life, but I learned to develop the sense of diversity in cuisine when I moved to the United States in 2009. As a novice in the American cuisine, I rapidly began to admire and explore different type of foods.
